Visiting Malawi

By: Karin Forslund, International Student Coordinator, Education Support Office

In a few weeks time the first planning trip to the study programme in Medicine’s new partner university, The University of Malawi, will take place. A teacher (Maria) and an international coordinator (Karin) will visit The College of Medicine, located in the city of Blantyre in southern Malawi. Together with our Malawian colleagues we hope to discuss and prepare for a successful project through the Linnaeus-Palme exchange programme (LP).

The study programme in Medicine (LINK) at Karolinska Institutet currently has two on-going LP-projects, with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, China, and Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. For the academic year 2015/2016 LINK was also approved funding for planning visits with two new partner universities: Universidad de Azuay, Ecuador, and University of Malawi, Malawi.
